Services Gateway

Jack Koenig & Associates began as a computer network consulting firm in the mid 1970's. Our primary mission was to understand the client's needs, layout their computer system to meet those needs, purchase, install, and integrate all necessary equipment consistent with the client's type of business, and orchestrate the whole shebang until it played like a symphony at Orchestral Hall.

So much for the prehistoric days of the 1970's.

In the early 1980's so called "personal computers" began coming from just about every direction imaginable. Included in the initial group was the Atari, the TRS80, and the Gimix Ghost. The latter computer was reportedly used aboard several space missions and was the first JK&A acquired for exploratory purposes. Although we could see the potential, there simply were no "add-on's" available to pull it all together.

Then in the early 1980's, the IBM PC was born and a host of peripheral device makers jumped in into the fray with an array of equipment including disk drives, monitors, keyboards, and what have you.

Jack Koenig & Associates immediately saw the possibilities and began their long relationship with personal computers. For more information on this aspect of their business, please click on the "Network Services" tab in the navigation bars on the upper left of this page.

Then out of nowhere, a little known communications medium called the "Arpnet" - used primarily by scientists, researchers, educators, and the military - suddenly morphed into what we today call the Internet.

This new environment - the Internet - created an abundance of new opportunities, one of which was placing a company's presence on the Internet. This necessitated designing web sites to accommodate each company's unique position in the marketplace and Jack Koenig & Associates jumped in with both feet. Once "point of presence" web sites began popping up all over the Internet, it didn't take long before someone realized the potential of Internet commerce. And after a serious study of the possibilities, Jack Koenig & Associates saw the possibilities and began exploring the complex requirements to make such an endeavor work for their existing and future clients.
